The times they are ae-changing

I have been quite on this blog for a couple of weeks now, and there are a couple of reasons for this. First of all, it’s the holiday season and I need some rest too πŸ™‚

Secondly, I have changed jobs since the 1st of August 2017. This means a lot of ongoing projects had to be wrapped up before I could make the switch. So on to the announcement:

I started as a senior consultant at AE, a consulting company located in Heverlee, Belgium. AE orginally stood for Application Engineers, but they have evolved from their roots and their current tagline is more accurate: Architects for Business & ICT (in Belgium we use Information & Communication Technology instead of just IT). AE is a company focused on guiding a company through a transformation, be it business or technical. Their focus is a lot on architecture, but also on the operational side. Because of this, they tend to have long durable relationships with their clients and this was something a was looking for: projects where I can sink my teeth in for a longer period of time. Furthermore, they have been awarded as β€œgreat place to work” for several years now.

My focus will be on Information Management (IM) and Analytics, so I’m pretty sure I can apply my Microsoft Data Platform knowledge, but it’s also possible I get to experience tasks outside of my comfort zone, which might be a nice change.

Anyway, blog posts will continue and thanks for reading!
