Speaking at dataMinds Connect 2021

In October I’ll be speaking at the dataMinds Connect conference. This event is very dear to me, because

  • it’s a home match, since it’s a Belgian conference, and also the biggest Microsoft Data Platform conference in the BeNeLux.
  • it’s the first in-person event for me this year (fingers crossed the situation only improves till October!)
  • it’s the 10th time I’ll be speaking there. In the early days it was called SQL Server Days. Topics were mostly about SSIS: best practices, Biml (two times even), what’s new in 2012/2016, CDC etc.

But this time I’ll be presenting a non-technical session: Fast Forward your Career by using the Community. The abstract:

Getting involved in the Data Platform community can be beneficial for your career, both short-term as long-term. Not everyone has the desire to jump on a stage and start speaking for an audience, but luckily you don’t need to! There are many options available to build your personal brand out there. In this session, we’ll go over these options and see how they can have a great impact on your profession live!

I’m a very strong believer in sharing knowledge and that by doing so, you’ll not only improve the lives of other people, but also your own. Come to my session to learn more! But there are also a lot of interesting sessions at the event; about Power BI, Azure, Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Science and much more. There are also amazing precons, so be sure to check them out!

I’m also proud to announce my employer AE is now a sponsor of the event!
